Enjoyed the big and comfortable bed and the excellent service of friendly staff. Prime location, just a few steps away from the beach and shops. The breakfast was tasty and had a good variety of options.
The room was quite noisy due to the outside traffic and people passing by late at night. The bathroom had no air conditioning, which made it stuffy and uncomfortable.

The location was very good just opposite the pier and mins to town and lanes, totally dissapointed with the hotel, price paid could only be for lacation. Appart from anything else it is not the Raddison Blue its the Royal York!! So dont look for Raddison Blue I only popped in to ask if they knew where the Raddisson was and the chap said its here but the hotel had been sold, there was no car park available as the owner had apparently taken it back so we had to park our car in the ncp which was a 10 min walk away and cost £20 per day, the phone in our room wasn't working so reception had to get outside number and then put the call through to the room. The walls are paper thin so not sound proof, for the 3 days we stayed we hardly slept, we complained and so did other guests, I did tell the reception staff that we were very unhappy with the service and accomodation and would not stay again or recommend it to anyone else.

The breakfast service was a bit slow, we waited quite a while for items to be replenished

We absolutely loved the location of the hotel - right by the seaside. I was also extremely charmed with the decor of the room - very romantic and with plenty attention to interior design. Perfect for a Valentines Day get away.
The windows in our room were absolutely dirty - the lovely sea view was pretty much unvisible. It seemed as if they haven't been cleaned in a really long time. It also turned out that there was a night club right outside - with the windows being old and wooden rather than double glazed we hardly got any sleep that night.

I was pleased to discover that our hotel was located close to everything we might want to get to in town. It was a short walk to the beach and the famous Pier, and right next to the National Express coach stop. the room we stayed in was well-decorated and comfortable, with a nice view of the sea. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was satisfactory. a convenient and pleasant stay.
The limited options for non-meat eaters on the dinner menu were a bit disappointing.

The overall ambience - chic and sophisticated.
Noisy location - lots of noise which kept us awake during the night. Also, room didn't have air conditioning, which made it stuffy. The shower head was too low to have a comfortable shower!

Probably no better location to stay if you want to spend a weekend, or more, exploring Brighton. Big public rooms in grand old building, with good views out
Breakfast was deeply average – weak instant coffee is not what you expect for £145/night. The requested 'extra strong' latte replacement was given freely, but still not strong. Also, somebody needs to explain to chef exactly what Eggs Benedict comprises - eggs and bacon/ham yes, but not served on soggy bread with the hollandaise sauce toasted under the grill. It was far from terrible (4 out of 10?) it’s just that the breakfast did not really match the standards set by the friendly staff, the clean room, and the grandness of the hotel itself

Great views and comfortable bed, with a spacious bathroom. Location is central and convenient, close to key attractions and a grocery store.
Parking and room noise can be an issue. Small rooms, limited breakfast options, and poor internet connection.

The quality and style of the room- warm, welcoming and tastefully presented
Dining room didn't feel as warm and inviting as the hotel room, though the staff and food were good.

Tastefully refurbished old building, terrible parking but nice hotel if you don't have a car with you.
The parking was expensive and terrible. I was not at all happy leaving my car in the car park..

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in town centre, located right on the beach. The location is excellent, with everything in this city just a minute walk away. The hotel facilities were great, and the room was very clean and nicely decorated, just like in the pictures. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The staff were very amenable, attentive and welcoming. The room was lovely, we did request one on the park side as we'd read reviews about the bus station noise, and it was changed without hesitation.
The breakfast was very poor value for money and they really need to be fairer on the staff by having enough working both room service and weekend breakfast. It makes the hotel look like they are penny pinching.

The location is excellent for the town centre and the staff, all foreign, spoke excellent English and were first class.
Very noisy, no double glazing, air conditioning not working.
